Indie country music artist, Jordan Rainer is looking for a remote video editing intern/apprentice to help create short-form video drafts for her various social media pages. 

​

This opportunity is best for someone who already understands short-form content, enjoys editing raw footage into scroll-stopping videos, and wants real-world experience creating content for an established content creator with over 1 million followers across platforms.

​

This is not a social media management role. Jordan will continue handling strategy, captions, posting, approvals, and final creative direction. This role is focused on editing only.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

Your primary task will be to edit provided raw video footage and sound clips into short-form video drafts.

Video styles may include show highlight, behind the scenes, vlog style, trend based, and show promotion.

Can tell a story quickly

Know how to choose strong moments from raw footage

Important Details

 

This is an unpaid internship/apprenticeship opportunity designed for experience, portfolio-building, and real-world creative practice.

​

There is no guarantee of future paid work, but there may be opportunities for paid projects or a part-time role in the future if it is a strong fit.

​​

This role is for people with experience with editing short-form content and a good understanding of social media trends and algorithms.. We are not looking to teach these concepts.

​

Using the materials provided, create two edited videos:

Video 1:

Story-Based Edit

 

Create a 30-45 second vertical video that tells a story. We are looking for something that feels intentional, emotional, entertaining, funny, powerful, or compelling.

​

Video 2:

Trend-Based Edit

 

Create a 15-20 second vertical video that feels current, fast-moving, and ready for TikTok/Reels.

You may use a trend format, modern editing style, captions, timing, humor, transitions, or pacing that feels natural for currently trending short-form content.

Video Requirements

 

Please make sure both videos are:

Vertical format, 9:16

Ready for TikTok/Reels

Exported as MP4 files

Clear and easy to view

Edited using only the provided materials

Free of watermarks

Do not use any AI-generated or copyrighted materials.

We are not looking for perfection.

We are looking for someone who understands pacing, storytelling, taste, timing, and Jordan’s general vibe.

The best edit will not necessarily be the flashiest. We want edits that feel natural, engaging, and true to Jordan.
